HACKENSACK, NJ, October 07, 2019 — Excel Orthopedic Physical Therapy (“EXCEL”), New Jersey’s premier provider of comprehensive orthopedic physical therapy since 1990, is pleased to announce that Allison Tabrys, PT, DPT, CSCS has been appointed Clinic Director of the Montvale, NJ office.
Allison (Alli) has been with EXCEL for more than six years, most recently serving as Assistant Clinic Director of the Fort Lee, NJ office. Alli holds a B.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University, where she found her niche in outpatient orthopedics and sports.
“Throughout her tenure with EXCEL, Alli has not only demonstrated excellent clinical skills, but she has also continuously earned the respect of her patients and colleagues by going above and beyond. We are so proud to recognize those accomplishments by expanding her role within the company,” says Gary Flink, EXCEL’s Chief Executive Officer. “I am confident that the Montvale office will continue to flourish in her capable hands.”
Before entering high school, Alli had ACL reconstructive surgery—the first of seven knee surgeries she would undergo. Her experiences as a young patient helped shape her interest in treating female athletes. She draws on her own background to relate warmly to each patient, regardless of injury or age.
“I’m looking forward to joining the phenomenal team in the Montvale office and continuing to build upon the great reputation that they’ve established within the community. I’d also like to thank my patients and colleagues in Fort Lee for their years of support, growth, and education,” said Tabrys.
Alli is certified in blood flow restriction (BFR)—a modality that has been proven to decrease muscle atrophy and increase strength. After personally experiencing the challenges of regaining strength and restoring balance following an injury, Alli has found that BFR can be a beneficial addition to patients’ recoveries.
