On Thursday, July 30th, Excel Physical Therapy President and Co-Founder Matt Gibble was joined by Rothman Orthopaedics Board Certified Physician Frank Alberta, MD, FAAOS to discuss rotator cuff injuries, one of the most common ailments of the shoulder joint of patients both young and old. The rotator cuff can be injured in a single event like a fall or can be worn down over time from repetitive motion. Whether the injury is acute or chronic, if left unattended, the injury can have devastating outcomes. We discussed the different types of rotator cuff injuries and their surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
